  1. Open the Google Home app and type “settings” into the search bar.
  2. Under “voice” tab, select “google assistant.”
  3. Click on the “disable” button.

Bonus Tip 1: Make typing mode as default input for Google Assistant

If you don’t like interacting with the Assistant with your voice, you can enter the commands by typing them. To do this, start Google Assistant. It starts listening to your command, indicated by four swinging dots. Tap the dots and press the keyboard icon.

You can wait 3-5 seconds for the swinging dots to stop. Then the keyboard icon is displayed up automatically in the bottom bar. Tap it to activate the keyboard. Now type the question and hit the enter key on your keyboard.
