Multiple monitors can be a great way to work on the go, but they can also be a hindrance. By using multiple monitors, you no longer have to switch between apps on one screen. For example, you can view your email client on your laptop, native screen and run Photoshop on a larger external monitor. Maybe you have a monitor for Slack and one for navigation.

You can display an application on one half of the screen and your Word document on the other half of the screen, or display different status indicators across the entire screen. Windows 10 has a feature called Snap Assist, which lets you drag and drop a window onto the part of the screen you want to align it with.

How to turn on snap assist feature on Windows 10:

Choose one of the ‘Instant Assistance’ options:

Windows can be rearranged automatically by dragging them to the sides or corners of the screen. This makes it easier to use your computer, and keeps your screen clean.

When I take out a window, it automatically scales it to fill the available space.

When I open a window, it shows what is available to me.

When I resize a snapped window, it resizes all of its windows.
