- Open the Start Menu and type “cmd” into the search bar.
- When cmd is found, click on it.
- Type “netstat -an” into the command prompt and hit enter.
- The netstat -an output will show you all of the active network connections and their status. If you see any connections that are not listed, then your computer may be unable to connect to any of them because they are not currently active. If you see a connection that is listed but its status is not good, then it means that the connection is working but it may be slow or unstable so please check it again later when its better. Please note that if you see a connection that is listed but its status is bad and its name does not start with “eth0”, then it means that the computer has no idea what eth0 represents and cannot find anything about it so please do not use this information to troubleshoot problems with your computer!
